NEW DEVELOPMENT: First Homes To Finish in Spring | Business

Addressing the shortage of housing in Fort Dodge has been made a local priority.

As a result, 24 new townhomes will be built near the intersection of Highway 169 and 2nd Avenue South. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 12th at 3:00pm.

The City of Fort Dodge approved an agreement to allow the use of $150,000 in tax increment financing to assist with upfront infrastructure.

The first phase of the townhomes is scheduled to be completed in late spring, with the remaining townhomes to be finished by fall, 2013.
