Pastor On The Roof Surpasses Goal | Community Spirit

After spending a week on the roof of his church a Fort Dodge Pastor has come back to ground level, and he says he has much to be thankful for.

Pastor Allen Henderson spent six days and nights on the roof of St. Paul Lutheran Church hoping to raise $10,000 for malaria in Africa.

Henderson says thanks to the generosity of the community he was able to surpass his goal and give the gift of $24,000 to the initiative.

All the money raised goes directly to buy vaccines and mosquito nets. The organization in charge, the Lutheran Malaria Initiative, then flies to Africa on its own dime to deliver and administer them.
