RACHEL’S CHALLENGE: From Tragedy To Inspiration | Events
A school bullying campaign is using the Columbine shooting tragedy to empower their students.
Rachel Scott’s life was tragically cut short during the Columbine High School shooting in 1999.
Soon afterward her legacy was continued and developed in to a program that equips students and adults to combat bullying and isolation by creating a culture of kindness and compassion.
Rachel’s Challenge has since reached over 18-million people.
There will be more added to that number this week as all Fort Dodge Community School and St. Edmond Catholic School students will participate in the program between 14-16th January.
The aim is for students to recognize what they can do to make a difference instead of focusing on what they can’t do.
