LESSER CHARGE: Mother Guilty In Infant’s Death | News

An Oklahoma mother charged with killing her newborn in Fort Dodge will be sentenced for a lesser charge.

Jurors made the decision in trial of Hillary Tyler Monday afternoon.

Tyler was charged with first degree murder for killing her baby in a Fort Dodge hotel room, but she was convicted of second degree murder.

Tyler had been working a temporary job in Fort Dodge when the baby was killed in 2011.

Tyler will be sentenced in April.
